Each card has two potential values depending on its orientation, and on your turn you either play a set of consecutive numbers or matching values, or you scout by taking a card from the current high set into your hand. Nominated for the 2022 Spiel des Jahres, Scout challenges players to work with the order they're dealt and make smart choices about when to play and when to recruit.

Highlights

Unique Hand Management: Cards can't be rearranged once dealt, creating strategic tension with every decision

Dual-Value Cards: Each card shows two numbers that change based on orientation

Scout Mechanic: Take cards from opponents' successful sets to strengthen your hand for future rounds

Award Recognition: Nominated for the 2022 Spiel des Jahres

Quick Play: Games take approximately 20 minutes

Game details

Publisher: Oink Games

Game: Scout

Players: 2-5

Play time: 20 minutes

Ages: 9+

What's in the box

Scout card deck

Instructions

Questions

Can I rearrange my hand during the game?
No. Cards stay in the order you receive them, which is the core challenge of Scout.

How do the dual-value cards work?
Each card displays two numbers, one on each end.
