The game unfolds in two phases: first, you play cards to plant flowers on the board in strategic rows, then your discarded cards become your deck for the second half, where you harvest those flowers to complete Gloomie decoration orders. Points come from harvested flowers and completed orders.

Highlights

Two-Phase Gameplay: Plant flowers in the first half, then harvest them in the second using your discarded cards as your new deck

Strategic Card Play: Position flowers in rows to set up bonuses during both planting and harvesting phases

Galactic Theme: Help outer space creatures called Gloomies collect radiant blossoms for their decorations

Points from Flowers and Orders: Score by harvesting flowers and completing Gloomie decoration requests

Game details

Publisher: Ravensburger

Game: Gloomies

Product: Base Game

Questions

How does the two-phase system work?
In phase one, you plant flowers by playing cards to the board.
