Avalon Hill HeroQuest Game System
Classic dungeon crawling with a full quest-driven starter box.
HeroQuest Game System is a fantasy adventure board game built for a table that wants miniatures, quests, and classic dungeon exploration in one box. One player takes the role of Zargon while the heroes work together through a 14-quest campaign, using the included board, cards, dice, doors, furniture, and miniatures to bring each run into the dungeon to life.
What's inside: 1 gameboard, 31 monster miniatures, 4 hero miniatures, 15 furniture pieces, 10 skull pieces, 4 plastic rat pieces, 21 dungeon doors, 93 game cards, 4 turn-order cards, cardboard tiles, Quest Book, 4 character cards, Game Master's screen, pad of character sheets, 6 white combat dice, 2 red dice, and rulebook.
Product highlights
- Full quest campaign: The box includes a Quest Book with 14 quests, giving groups a ready-to-play dungeon adventure right out of the box.
- One-versus-many setup: One player controls Zargon, the Game Master, while 2 to 4 heroes cooperate to explore rooms, battle monsters, and search for treasure.
- Miniatures and terrain pieces: The included hero and monster miniatures, furniture, doors, skulls, and rats help create a more tactile tabletop experience than a board-and-cards-only game.
- Classic fantasy roles: Players can step into the Barbarian, Dwarf, Elf, and Wizard hero roles using the included character cards and character sheet pad.
- Strong starting point for HeroQuest: This is the core Game System, making it the base product used by many HeroQuest expansions that require the main game to play.
