Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Monmouth Sports Cards LLC, doing business as Monmouth Cards and Monmouth Sports Cards (“Monmouth,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates monmouthcards.com and our retail stores.
Monmouth Sports Cards LLC238 Neptune Blvd
Neptune, NJ 07753
United States
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you interact with our website, stores, products, services, customer Wi‑Fi, events, accounts, loyalty programs, marketing, and customer support.
Additional notices or terms may apply to particular services, events, promotions, or collection activities. This policy does not replace separate consent or authorization required by law.
2. Personal information we collect
The information we process depends on your interactions with us.
Contact and account information
Your name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping addresses, account identifiers, account preferences, and communications preferences.
Transactions and services
Purchase, sale, trade, return, and service records, including products involved, transaction amounts, order history, payment status, delivery information, and customer support records.
For grading and authentication services, we collect information about submitted items, photographs, certification numbers, declared values, submission status, and delivery or pickup instructions.
Payment providers process payment information. We receive payment-related information needed to manage transactions, refunds, fraud prevention, and accounting.
Identification checks for sellers
For certain in-store purchases or trades involving expensive products, we visually inspect government-issued identification to verify identity and help prevent fraud or transactions involving stolen property.
We do not scan, photograph, copy, or retain identification documents or record their identification numbers as part of this process.
We may separately retain ordinary transaction information, such as the seller’s name, contact information, item descriptions, payment details, and ownership representations.
Loyalty programs and promotions
Enrollment information, purchase history, points earned, rewards redeemed, collecting interests, promotion participation, and related preferences.
Communications
Information you provide through email, text messages, telephone conversations, customer support tools, contact forms, surveys, reviews, and social media.
Please do not send payment card numbers, identification documents, or other sensitive information through ordinary email or public messages unless we direct you to an appropriate secure method.
Website and device information
Technical and activity information, including IP addresses, browser and device types, operating systems, cookie identifiers, referring pages, pages viewed, product interactions, and dates and times of visits. An IP address may indicate an approximate location.
We use cookies, pixels, and related technologies as described in Section 5.
Store security recordings
Our stores use security cameras to record activity in monitored areas. Some camera systems also record audio.
We process security recordings for safety, loss prevention, incident investigation, fraud prevention, and the establishment or defense of legal claims.
Recording practices may differ by location. Location-specific notices and any legally required consent apply separately. This policy does not itself constitute consent to audio recording.
Security monitoring is separate from promotional event photography and filming.
Customer Wi‑Fi
Some stores provide customer Wi‑Fi. We and our network providers process information associated with connections to operate, troubleshoot, and protect the network.
Depending on the system, this may include device identifiers, IP addresses, connection times, network usage, and security logs.
Connecting to customer Wi‑Fi does not, by itself, enroll you in email or SMS marketing.
Events, photographs, videos, and livestreams
We collect information associated with event registration and participation.
We also capture photographs, video, and other content at certain stores and events. Content may include adults and children, images, voices, participation, and items displayed.
Event notices and separate media authorizations explain relevant recording and promotional uses. Where authorization is required, we obtain it separately, including from an appropriate parent or legal guardian for a child.
Attendance alone does not constitute a promotional media release.
Livestreams and public posts may be viewed, recorded, or redistributed by others. Please speak with staff before entering a filming area if you wish to avoid appearing in promotional content.
3. Sources of personal information
We collect personal information:
- Directly from you through transactions, forms, registrations, communications, and store interactions;
- Automatically through our website, network, and security systems;
- From payment, shipping, grading, technology, event, and other providers;
- From social media or marketplace platforms when you interact with us there;
- From parents, guardians, gift purchasers, or others arranging a transaction or service;
- From fraud-prevention sources and public sources where relevant and lawful.
If you provide another person’s information, provide only information you are authorized to share for the relevant purpose.
4. How we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- Process purchases, payments, deliveries, pickups, returns, and other transactions;
- Evaluate and document items sold or traded to us;
- Manage grading submissions and other requested services;
- Create and administer customer accounts;
- Operate loyalty programs, rewards, events, and promotions;
- Respond to questions and resolve customer service issues;
- Send receipts, shipping notices, grading updates, and other service communications;
- Send email and SMS marketing where permitted;
- Publish authorized event and promotional content;
- Operate, secure, analyze, and improve our website, stores, and services;
- Understand product interests and measure marketing performance;
- Deliver advertising, subject to applicable consent and privacy choices;
- Protect customers, employees, property, networks, and systems;
- Detect fraud and investigate incidents;
- Maintain accounting and compliance records;
- Meet legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We provide additional notice or obtain additional consent before materially different processing where required by law.
5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for essential website functions, preferences, analytics, and advertising.
Essential technologies support functions such as shopping carts, checkout, authentication, security, and saving privacy choices.
Optional technologies may help us understand website activity, measure advertising, personalize content, and show advertisements on other websites or platforms.
Providers we currently use
Our providers include:
- Shopify — e-commerce platform and storefront analytics
- Google — Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Google advertising services
- Meta — advertising and conversion measurement
- TikTok — advertising and conversion measurement
- Klaviyo — email and SMS marketing, on-site identification, and campaign measurement
- Triple Whale — marketing analytics and attribution
- Microsoft Clarity — session recording and heatmaps. This records how you interact with pages, including mouse movement, scrolling, clicks, and page content. Entries in form fields are masked by the provider’s default configuration.
- Judge.me — product reviews
- Zendesk — customer support messaging
Advertising technologies may disclose identifiers, browsing activity, product interactions, and related information to advertising partners. Some providers may combine information from our services with information from other sources.
Certain disclosures for advertising may constitute a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under applicable privacy laws, even when no money is exchanged.
Your tracking choices
You can manage optional technologies. You can also contact us using the details in Section 16.
We obtain consent for optional technologies where legally required.
Where applicable law requires recognition of an opt-out preference signal, including Global Privacy Control, we process that signal for the browser or device sending it and apply it to an associated account when required.
Choices may need to be renewed on another device or after deleting cookies. Browser settings may provide additional controls. Blocking essential technologies may affect shopping or account functions.
An advertising opt-out does not necessarily stop all advertisements.
6. How we disclose personal information
We disclose relevant personal information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this policy.
Service providers
Providers supporting e-commerce, point-of-sale systems, payments, hosting, customer support, communications, accounting, security, Wi‑Fi, analytics, and other business operations.
Shipping and fulfillment providers
Carriers and logistics providers involved in delivering purchases, grading submissions, and other items.
Grading and authentication providers
Companies such as PSA and CGC when needed to perform a service you request.
Advertising and measurement partners
Providers involved in advertisements, audience services, and campaign measurement, subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
Event and platform providers
Providers supporting registration, organized play, reviews, social media, and live content. Information you authorize for public posting may be accessible to participants, platform users, and the public.
Professional advisers and authorities
Lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, regulators, courts, and law enforcement where appropriate and lawful.
Business transaction participants
Relevant parties in a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, asset transfer, or similar transaction, subject to applicable confidentiality and privacy protections.
Recipients you authorize
Other recipients when you request, authorize, or direct the disclosure.
We use appropriate contractual restrictions for providers processing information on our behalf where required. Some recipients also process information independently under their own privacy notices.
7. Shopify and independent third-party services
Our online store uses Shopify. Shopify processes information to support our storefront and may process certain information for its own services and purposes, depending on the features used and our configuration.
For details, see Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy.
Third-party websites, payment services, grading companies, social media platforms, and other independent services have their own privacy practices. Review their notices when using those services.
8. Email and SMS marketing
We collect email addresses and telephone numbers for communications about our products, stores, services, events, releases, and promotions.
We distinguish marketing subscriptions from information provided for purchases, receipts, grading submissions, support, and other service purposes.
Providing contact information for a transaction, attending an event, or connecting to Wi‑Fi does not, by itself, authorize marketing communications that require separate consent.
We obtain and document marketing consent where required.
Email choices
You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or contact us using the details below.
SMS choices
If you enroll in our SMS program, we may send recurring marketing messages, including messages using automated technology, as described in the enrollment disclosure.
Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. You may also withdraw consent through another legally recognized reasonable method, including contacting us below.
We process unsubscribe and consent-withdrawal requests within applicable legal deadlines. A permitted confirmation message may acknowledge a text-message opt-out.
Marketing opt-outs do not necessarily stop separately authorized or legally permitted communications needed to complete a transaction or provide a requested service.
9. Children and teenagers
Our stores and events serve collectors of different ages, including families and younger collectors.
Children under 13 should not independently create online accounts, subscribe to marketing, or submit personal information through our general online shopping and marketing forms. A parent or legal guardian should manage relevant purchases and registrations.
We collect information about children only through processes permitted by applicable law, including parental notice and verifiable parental consent where required.
If we learn that information was collected from a child without required authorization, we take appropriate steps to stop the relevant processing and delete the information unless lawful retention is required.
Parents and guardians may contact us about their child’s information and applicable access, deletion, or consent-withdrawal rights.
Promotional use of a child’s image is handled through separate parent or legal guardian authorization where required. This policy does not grant permission to use a child’s image.
We apply legally required protections to minors’ information, including restrictions on advertising, sale, sharing, and other processing.
Additional children’s notices and consent procedures apply where required for a particular online feature or event.
10. Retention
We retain personal information for the period reasonably necessary for its stated purpose, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Retention depends on the transaction or service, accounting requirements, dispute periods, security risks, consent records, and active claims or investigations.
We may retain relevant records longer for legal holds, disputes, security incidents, investigations, or other lawful requirements.
Closing an account does not automatically erase transaction records or information we must lawfully retain.
We delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of information when it is no longer needed, subject to applicable requirements and managed backup schedules. We may retain limited suppression information to continue honoring marketing opt-outs.
11. Privacy rights and requests
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:
- Confirm whether we process your personal information;
- Access information and obtain a copy;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Request deletion;
- Withdraw consent;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or specified profiling;
- Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive information;
- Receive information about recipients;
- Appeal a denied request;
- Complain to a privacy regulator.
These rights are subject to applicable legal conditions and exceptions.

Mail: Monmouth Sports Cards LLC, Attn: Privacy Requests, 238 Neptune Blvd, Neptune, NJ 07753
You do not need to create an account to submit a request.
For requests requiring identity verification, we use a proportionate process. Please do not send identification documents unless we request them through an appropriate method.
Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted. We may request evidence of authority and verification as allowed by law.
Advertising opt-outs are not subject to unnecessary identity verification.
We respond within applicable statutory periods and explain any permitted extension or denial.
Appeals
Where an appeal right applies, email sales@monmouthcards.com with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line. We review the appeal and provide the outcome and further complaint options as required.
Nondiscrimination
We do not unlawfully discriminate against people for exercising privacy rights. Some information is necessary to complete a purchase, provide a requested service, or maintain a voluntary program.
12. Additional California disclosures
This section applies to the extent California law applies to our processing.
The categories, sources, purposes, and recipient categories described in this policy explain our collection and disclosure practices.
California residents may exercise applicable rights through Section 11 and use the advertising controls described in Section 5.
Where required, a separate notice of financial incentive describes qualifying loyalty benefits or signup offers, participation and withdrawal, and the basis for relating the benefit to the value of relevant information.
13. International customers
We sell products to customers outside the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where relevant providers operate. Privacy protections may differ between countries.
Where European or UK data protection law applies, we rely on the lawful basis appropriate to the activity:
- Contract: processing purchases and requested services;
- Legal obligations: required accounting, tax, and compliance processing;
- Legitimate interests: relevant fraud prevention, security, support, and service improvement, subject to the required balancing assessment;
- Consent: processing for which consent is required, including relevant marketing, tracking, and authorized media uses.
You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You may object to direct marketing and exercise other applicable rights through Section 11.
You may complain to your competent supervisory authority without first contacting us.
Information required to complete a transaction must be provided for us to fulfill the relevant service.
We obtain consent for marketing and tracking where required by applicable local law. Additional country-specific notices apply where required.
14. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
No system is completely secure. Please use appropriate account security and notify us if you suspect unauthorized activity.
We address security incidents and provide notices where required by applicable law.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable requirements.
We post the updated version with a revised date and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required.
An update does not eliminate statutory rights or automatically authorize uses requiring separate consent.
Contractual terms governing your use of our services, including responsibility for third-party claims, are set out in our Terms of Service rather than in this notice.
